Disable Remote Access

My HP all-in-one printer says it won't automatically answer faxes if my system has a voice mail service. I have terminated the Verizon voicemail service but if I call the line I have dedicated to the fax machine, it goes after about eight rings to "enter the remote access code" instead of connecting to the fax. What can I do to disable remote access?
