Need to Relocate/Terminate Old Verizon Utility Easment

I am working on the development of an affordable housing community in Upstate New York and need to have an old Verizon utility easement, which is no longer in use, relocated or terminated prior to commencing construction (estimated to start in December). Please advise how I can proceed with doing so with Verizon. Your assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
