I recently changed over to a Verizon prepaid plan from an old 8GB Large post paid plan. I understand that prepaid customers are likely the bottom of the barrel on prioritization of data speeds. However, in the area where I live and commute (close to a college campus) the data is unusable most of the time during the day. I am talking about 4-5 bars of signal and a simple webpage will not load, iMessage or Teams messages not sending/receiving, Facetime calls dropping constantly, etc. Speed tests show the abysmal download speeds when I can even get Speedtest App to connect to a server. Sometimes it is not this bad and I get decent 10-20Mbps download speeds but most of time it is unusable in an area that was fine with the Post paid account on the same device.
All that to say, I get that there will be some de-prioritizing of my data but the prepaid speeds in my area virtually unusable to the point where I am planning on switching carriers if I can't get this resolved.
