Full Bars and 5G but No Data

I am CONSTANTLY receiving no data connection in downtown Albany, NY... the capitol of the state... while my phone is showing at least 3 bars of service and 5G data symbol. This happens both at home and work. ZIP codes are 12210 and 12309. PLEASE FIX THIS SERVICE. I pay a lot of money and have been a Verizon customer for a long time. Upgrading to these 5G phones isn't worth the money if the service is NON-EXISTENT!

I have encountered the same problem several times with 3 out of 4 bars which is still a strong signal. I am unable to get web pages to load. I changed the cellular data setting from 5G(auto) to LTE and everything started working fine. I would have thought that on 5G(auto) mode it would automatically switch to LTE if data wasn't working but apparently not. Something seems wrong in the network. My iphone 15 phone is only a couple months old and was set up at a verizon store.

The incident I was writing about occurred in early afternoon. The location was in the southwest corner of Independence and Eldorado in Frisco, TX. I was inside in a doctors office but, as I said, had three bars so the cellular signal was strong. I don't have enough data to characterize it very well yet other than it has happened several times over the 2 months since I switched to Verizon. I've had my phone set to LTE since and haven't seen any problems. I'll switch it back to 5G and see how it goes. Am I correct that on 5G auto it should use LTE automatically if 5G isn't working? Or is that switch based on signal strength so the strong 5G signal prevented LTE from being used even though there was some sort of data problem?

Thanks for getting back to us. Indoor service can be challenging especially in a Doctors office. Some times they have things in the office that will dampen signal. Yes if on 5G it will switch to LTE if G is not availableautomatically.-Joe
