About 4 years ago, I helped a friend open a Verizon account and gave them my debit card for the monthly payments because my friend is impoverished and disabled.
She's been spending far more money than she agreed to on premium services /additional devices, and won't stop, so I cancelled the card Verizon was using to pay for it.
Since I can't remember if I was listed as a party to the account and my bank account was used, I want to ensure no action would be taken against me for any she may have bought on a payment plan that has not yet been paid off in full.
I don't want to press charges against her either because she's already in enough trouble due to mental health problems and inability to afford psychiatric treatment.
