Bought a blacklisted Verizon iPhone

A 9-year Verizon user, very helpless, traveling in China, old phone doesn’t work, using Verizon eSIM and need a new phone. Purchased a iPhone 14 from a phone store in China in order to compatible with my Verizon eSIM. Found out the iPhone 14 has blacklisted IMEI due to unpaid balance. Verizon can’t help even I am willing to pay a little extra money. Very helpless.
