Well in a by-gone era about 25 years ago from 1996 to 2008, all telecommunications companies including Version posted their base rates publicly because the States originally were mandated by the federal law Telecommunications Act of 1996 to collect the price rates; then it just spilled over into standard company practice.
See: 47 U.S.C. 254--(i) Consumer Protection.--"The States should ensure that universal service is available at rates that are just, reasonable, and affordable."
Not anymore apparently. Verizon has thus at present time refused to advertise honestly and I want to know the base rate of the 500 mbps plan without any promotions whatsoever which means if am a new customer do not show me that promo rate either.
On my online account section, the change-my-plan utility does not tell me. The base rate part is crossed out and I do not know why. On the website section Verizon DOT-COM home/internet/fios-fastest-internet/, there is only 1) an advertised rate when having AutoPay+5G Mobile, and, 2) an advertised rate for being a new customer. Therefore the standard base rate on a company wide policy scale is not public and I am sick of it. I want to know what the standard base rate is so tell me already.
