My charging is a problem on my S22 Ultra. I'm getting a warning about overheating when I attach the USB cable and when I place the phone on the wireless charger (it's not hot, nor even in use). I decided to purchase the S23 Ultra (bummer, because I would have waited a month for the S24). I am concerned about transferring my data to the new phone, which will arrive tomorrow, most importantly the Messages+ threads. I have years of these threads and often refer to them as needed. It will be inconvenient to lose these threads, not necessarily world-ending, but inconvenient. I have 38% battery on the S22, so maybe I can transfer using Smart Switch and be OK, but I'm wondering about accessing that Messages+ history if I don't make it on that remaining battery level. Is there a way to back up Messages+ before I attempt the transfer? Most of my stuff is backed up to Google Drive (photos, etc.) and OneDrive (files/folders of client info, etc.), My PC has my Music folder, but as I said, Messages+ is the one thing that concerns me most, if I was to lose those archives.
