To my fellow sufferers of a s22 ultra paperweight after the update, I've finally broken down and had Verizon warranty it. My temporary solution of carrying an old phone and paper clip so I could swap the sim card if I needed to make a call while I was out is impractical. I use this phone for work too so can't miss calls.
They're replacing it with.... an s22 ultra. I couldn't be more disappointed. I'm more than -10+ hours in on troubleshooting over more than a week -3 trips to Verizon stores, which included arrogant employees who insisted they fixed it because I could get a mobile network in store (hint, they all have extremely strong signal and my phone works if I'm standing under a 5g tower.... )-4 different "tech" support people -1 new sim card-1 new esim-20+ resets of mobile networksEtc I knew Samsung made terrible refrigerators but now learning the phones are terrible too. Looking forward to going back to pixel once my new junk phone does the inevitable brick. Do better Samsung and Verizon. Hope everyone else gets resolution soon enough. I'm not even going to bother with a screen protector on my replacement since it's just flushing money down the toilet. Happy new year to anyone unaffiliated with Samsung and Verizon!
