On Nov 29, 2023 I ordered, received and connected Verizon 5G Home with Self-Setup.
I was promised an Amazon $200 Gift Card for abandoning my old internet provider and going with the Vrzn 5G, if I kept the 5G for over 30 days.
Today is Jan 18, 2024 and obviously it's been over thirty days since I connected to their 5G home internet service.
And not a word or a whisper about a gift card.
I do receive tons of spam Vrzn email asking me to purchase this or that and explaining the next great promo ----- but no promised $200 gift card.
I called customer service which routed the call to an offshore call center and so far, zero help from Verizon in getting me the gift card ...... in fact, not even an acknowledgment from Vrzn that customer service is doing anything to help sort this out.
After speaking to offshore cust service, it even seemed a bit odd that I never received a follow up email or even the typical "did we solve your problem?" survey ........ crickets --- which made me think that whatever issue I had went directly into their digital call center shredder
So I searched online for folks who failed to receive what Vrzn promised, as I wasn't sure if my not getting the card might have been an anomaly.
To my surprise, this seems to be prevalent among Vrzn customers and sadly a common practice on Verizon's part.
I've had four lines with Verizon for many many many years, never late on payments, and decided I'd give their 5G a go with locked in pricing for five years and the $200 gift card.
If anyone out there has a help number that doesn't get routed to an off shore call center, or a suggestion on how I can get the promised Amzn Gift Card please let me know.
I have held up my end of the deal and it seems like Verizon wants to ignore me along with many other customers who have complained about not receiving the promised remuneration.
