Disney Password Sharing

So with Disney and Hulu starting to crack down on password sharing, how does this affect Verizon customers who have the Disney Plus bundle? There are multiple lines and households on my Unlimited plan and we all have our own Disney and Hulu profiles but share one password for them. Could Disney suspend or terminate our account?

I was able to create a Disney+ acount using the link provided by Verizon, but then it took me to a screen to either "Start free trial" or to "Buy Now". There is no option to continue with Verizon 12 month promotion. I have called Verizon, I have chatted with Verizon, and I have emailed Verizon, all with no help or resolution.

Can someone please help?

I have an account with Disney + but Paid upfront for the entire year. There does not seem to be a way that this Free program will work if I already pre-paid Disney

I did hear you have to cancel yor exsisting Disney plus subscription and the sign up throughe Verizon.

Signed up through the My Verizon app without an issue. Directed me to the same Disney+ signup page, once I created the account it did show the trial etc, but it also shown subscription through Verizon. This was right at the moment it went live too.

Disney+ is definitely a popular topic of discussion, and when it comes to adding a free year to an existing subscription there are a few things to keep in mind. You'll see that based on how you had signed up for the service (prior to enrolling in the Verizon Offer), there are different ways to accommodate it. Not working for me on the app or on the website. Click on enroll and it gives a list of all the add-one possible and under entertainment, Disney + isn’t there.

Yes, I have unlimited so I am eligible. It’s pretty frustrating. Support couldn’t help me either.

I have had this exact same problem since November 14. I seem to recall a screen where my promo code was shown as being used or no longer valid at one point. Initially, I went through several phone calls with Verizon support with no resolution. I waited a few days and contacted Verizon again on November 22, again with no resolution, and was told to try contacting Disney+. I did that and have been waiting to talk with an agent more than several times times for 20, 30 minutes and over an hour waits on more than one occassion - not getting a chance to even speak with an agent, just listening to elevator music.

The Disney+ account I set up shows "Verizon," but does not indicate the promotional subsciption is active (no hyperlink). My Verizon account meanwhile shows that I have Disney+. I have spent at least 5 hours delaing with this and am no further along than I was a week ago. Very frustraing.

I am in a similar situation as you and am getting nowhere with Verizon customer service. I was on hold with Disney for almost an hour today and gave up. I have a feeling it has something to do with the "Redeem Code" saying it is already used as I noticed that same message. I am Very frustrated and disappointed with Verizon given how much I spend monthly on an Unlimited Family Wireless plan with them.

Verizon will freeze your paid account until your eligible trial is over....as I understand it.

I did all that on line but once I went to dign ip with Disney through Verizon it was offering only one week free. I chatted with 2 Verizon people but neither could help. The 2nd suggested i call Disney. I was put on hold. After an hour I gave up.

We read thag an old Roku might not work so we got a new one. Months later I decided to try again. The tech person I was chatting with connected me with "Just Answer." They have a trial period then charge you $45 a month. Because i used them once for something else, I stopped the call when I didn't get an answer. I ended up paying the $45. I couldn't reconnect with anyone on Verizon.

So I join an existing account, sign up for a "Do More Unlimited 5G UW" plan. The Disney Bundle says Account Enrolled. I click manage add on "The Disney Bundle Included with your plan" is Active.

I have no idea how to watch it. I have tried on the app and on my PC and I just get sent to signup and pay for Disney or login with your email/password which I don't have.

Did not work. I tried what the video suggested, I go to My Account>My Add-ons & Apps>The Disney Bundle (Disney+, Hulu & ESPN+) Included with your plan. $13.99/mo value. I see a check and it says Account Enrolled.

My options now are Manage Ad-On and Product Details.

Clicking Manage Ad-On, takes me to a page where my Account level: The Disney Bundle Included with your plan $13.99/mo value. Active

Your Disney account has been activated and you're all set to start streaming.

When I click on Go To Disney it takes me to Disney site and it wants me to log in or signup. I never made a Disney account so I have no idea how to login.

Do you know if any of the other users on the account have already enrolled in the Disney+ bundle? We ask because, only one Disney+ bundle subscription can be activated on the account, but up to 10 devices can access the bundle. Hi Melissa, I keep trying to navigate around the site but can't find a link to enroll. I get the same links to go to but there's no button or way to enroll in the Disney+ free promo. By the way I have a Disney+ account directly from Disney currently. Thanks.

Hi, I'm having trouble activating my Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu bundle through my Verizon account. Every time I hit "Go to Disney", it prompts me to enter in an email and password. I'm using the email that Verizon is telling me to use but when I input that information in, it says "We noticed your Verizon subscription is already signed up for Disney+ under another email." I do not have any on-going subscriptions with these companies. I did have an ESPN+ account that was not through Verizon but that was cancelled and has not been active for some time. I've spent a number of hours trying to get this to work but I cannot figure out what is going on. Can someone please assist me with getting this feature that I paid more money for to work? As I mentioned before, I do not have an on-going subscriptions with any of these services. I'm not sure if I need to do something else on my end or if it's just a matter of the systems not communicating correctly. Please let me know.

This just hit the net today. Wondering how Verizon is going to handle this with shared plans that were able to connect to the Disney bundle for free with your plan. I'm on my sons plan and the bundle has been free to both locations over the past year, due to the plan we purchased. If the password blocking is true, then all those who have shared plans which are at different locations will no longer be able to get this for free. Now will have to pay for the service. It might be time to change carriers.

Time to alert your friends and family members who have access to your Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ accounts. The House of Mouse is officially putting those dastardly U.S.-based customers who dare share their passwords on notice. Netflix already started cracking down on password sharing last year, so it was only a matter of time before other streaming services followed suit.

If you’re paying monthly for the privilege of watching all your favorite Pixar movies or the latest season of The Bear, then by March 14, Disney will restrict your account to you and your immediate household.

Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ Set to Crack Down on Password Sharing

Hulu customers received an email late Wednesday notifying them the company was “adding limitations on sharing your account outside of your household, and explaining how we may assess your compliance with these limitations.” These updates to the company’s subscriber agreement read, “You may not share your subscription outside of your household,” in which the word “household” refers to the “primary personal residence” and all those people who live there. Disney owns a controlling share of Hulu and eventually plans to merge both into one giant homunculus of a streaming app.

I reached out to Verizon, and they don't have a solution for this as of yet. It appear that the account holder will be the only location to use the passwords. Its appears all others on the account that do not live in the same location will now have to purchase the disney bundle.

I asked at my corporate store on Sunday and was told it wasn’t going make a difference because Disney had a deal with Verizon. but I’m guessing Edgar was probably mistaken because I got my email from Hulu today. Guessing I’m gonna go back and talk to a manager soon. Wish Verizon would come out with a statement. I don’t want to get locked out of my accounts

I am wondering what will happen to those of us who have the Disney Plan Bundle through Verizon on our account when they implement the no sharing of login and password. I have 5 lines on our account that all use the Disney Bundle Plan. We have one log in and one password for all of us. We do not all live in the same household. One phone line lives 30 miles away and another line lives 100 miles away. So what will happen when Disney, Hulu restrict access by household. How will that work for those of us who have phone lines on our plan that do not live in the same household?
