Restore text messages from trash
Found this from Google:
Use Samsung Messages Recycle bin
Open the Samsung Messages app.Tap the three-dot icon to expand an options list.Select Recycle bin.Find your text in the recycle bin and long-press it to select it. You can tap other text messages if you'd like to restore them.Tap Restore.
This only works if you have the Trash bin turned on however. If it is shut off, your messages are most likely unrecoverable, although you could try downloading a data recovery app and see if that works.
If you are using Google Messages, there is no trash bin for that and any texts deleted are gone forever.
