We bought two gizmo 3 watches for our kids. My wife downloaded the app and connected everything no problem. When I tried to connect on my phone it said my number was invalid. After deleting my account we tried to add me as a caregiver on her phone. It goes straight to the add a buddy screen and shows a watch icon next to my number. Every other contact on her phone we can add permissions and it recognizes them as a phone. I can't even be a buddy because my phone is not a gizmo watch. I have spent hours with Verizon tech support to no avail. Why does gizmo think my phone is a watch and why can't anyone at Verizon fix this?

I got it resolved with the help of a GizmoHubb app technician. (Totally differnt from Verizon technical support, which was clueless and 4 different Verizon support personnel couldn't help me.) To fix it, I submitted a feedback report/commet using the 'Feedback' feature on the GizmoHub app and a technician from that group replied a few days later - totally worth the wait. If you use that Feedback feature from the parent's GizmoHub app, it drafts an email that includes a bunch of data for the account in question, to include audit logs of the last 10 errors, which is immensely helpful to the technical team (much batter than a cold-calling email).

RESOLUTION FROM GIZMOHUB APP TEAM: The number you provided was in our database as a GizmoWatch number. This issue occurred because the individual with the number before you was previously assigned to a GizmoWatch and then upgraded their device with the same number. When that upgrade happened, the person or the parent / guardian of the individual did not remove the device from their GizmoHub account. We have removed the number you provided from our database as a GizmoWatch number, and you should now be able to create a contact and assign the correct permission level.

However, I stress that you should use the feedback feature so the audit logs can be sent with your comments! The "Feedback" feature is on the GizmoHub app menu page after clicking on the 3 dots on the bottom right in the app titled "More". Once on the menu page, look on the bottom right - it should be a link down there titled "Feedback". At least it was in the app version 9.2.4.197 Good luck!

Helpme1234567, we understand how important it is to have access and connect your device as a caregiver for the Gizmo Watch devices for your children. We know it is concerning to not have a resolution after troubleshooting. What type of device do you have? Is that device on the most up to date software? When you were working with technical support, can you share what troubleshooting steps we completed with you?

Same thing happened for a new line's phone # on my account. I've worked with 3 Verizon techs and they had me uninstall the app from the parent phone, reinstall the app, ensure its updated from the playstore, restart the watch, factory rest the watch, and nothing worked. Now they said I could try to walk into a store to have the store reps look at it, hut other than that, they don't know how to fix it. This is unacceptable.
