Device upgrade

Hello so my payee is sending a check totalling $388.79 is what I owe left on my pixel 6 pro at this current time. I was wondering when it is paid off and upgraded can I close that line and just have my tablet and service and pay for that by itself thanks. I'm thinking of switching to another provider for just my phone total wireless by Verizon as it will be cheaper hopefully I'm paying $170 a month so yeah I'm interested in saving money so any information about line disconnecting would be helpful would I just be billed for my iPad and service for the iPad once I disconnect my line for my phone it was on thanks

If you dont have a mobile device on the account, the ipad will be billed as if it were a phone. Instead of $20/month, itll be $90.
