Need help to find if lines in property are active

I need help determining if the buried lines on our property are still active. they look to be originally established by USWest Communications and would then be serviced by MCI. I am located in Dever Colorado

I have called 811 and Verizon was not in the list of vendors who would be included in the ticket.
