Text messages on iPhone

Question

There HAS to be some sort of way to see every text message that is received and sent on each line. It makes no sense that iMessage has to be off for the text to be seen on usage. Verizon, yall need to fix this and the time it takes to do it needs to be minimal! I need to see a document of every text received and sent on one of my line for recent use!

I understand wanting to be able to view all messages sent on a device. We can of course show logs of the SMS messages sent, via My Verizon. iMessage is not a SMS service, it is Apple's instant messaging service that works via the internet/data usage. Rather than using the SMS infastrcture of our network, iMessage and similar messaging platforms like Facebook Messenger, instead use the internet to send their messages. That's why there's not a log to view of that activity. Additonally, Apple is very protective of their services, and iMessage is maintained and supported by them. I hope that's given you some insights as to why we can't share those records, it's due to how iMessage works and it being Apple's product. -John
