I live in an area with a poor signal. Is there anything that can be done about it?
Hi there BozoK, we understand wanting to get the best signal available to you, and we would be happy to explore some options. Have you done any troubleshooting with us before? Have you had an opportunity to try alternatives like Wi-Fi Calling or a Network Extender?
-Melissa
We have WiFi extenders in our home already but if our WiFi is out or having issues the cell signal sometimes won’t even let you receive a call. I have not had you guys try to troubleshoot this so figured I’d give it a shot.
Oh, no! Dealing with service issues can be overwhelming, especially if you are encountering dead zones. Verizon is here to help.
If you encounter any tech issues in the future, do not hesitate to use our Troubleshooting Assistant for further support: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/troubleshooting/.
When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? What exactly happens when you attempt to use your service? Who else is experiencing this problem?

Sorry, I just saw this response. My whole household has been having the same issues. We have one or two bars in the status icon on our cell phones usually it’s just one and I miss incoming calls all the time plus Internet service when Wi-Fi is down in our home is horrible.
If you only have one bar on your phones on a regular basis, the signal strength is not good enough for calls to work reliably. Either you will miss them entirely or calls will be cutting in and out on you. Depending on whether or not these problems only occur at home or if they are everywhere you go, some suggestions:
-Switch ISPs to a more reliable provider so your Wi-Fi at home is more stable, then you can use Wi-Fi on your phones while at home
-Purchase a network extender from Verizon to enhance the LTE signal strength at home so your cellular service is usable
-Ask your neighbors who they use for mobile service to see if another carrier has better service and if so, switch to them.
Thanks for those additional details. Are you running into this issue both indoors and out? If so, how far away from your home do you have to travel before service improves? Have you always had issues with service around your home area?
