I don't understand how to en able 2.4GHz for devices that don't support 5g
2.4GHz is turned on by default on the router. Giving your router model number would be helpful.
You can connect to the router https://192.168.0.1 and verify this. By default it's the same name as the 5Ghz.
Hello. We would like to review options. Please tell us, what model is your device?

Can’t find a model number - I have a 2.4ghz smart cat feeder and need to connect it to the WiFi but it doesn’t support 5ghz what do I do?
Are you currently using LTE or 5G Home Internet? If so, would you be able to sign in to your My Verizon account to let us know what gateway you have?

My router is a Ask-ncm1100 gateway
Need to get 2.4 ghz output on my internet to use ring doorbell. Router is the NCM1100. How do I create the 2.4 frequency?
These are the steps to update the configuration that are the same for most of our 5G Home networks. If this doesn't do the trick, we can help more in a private message. https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-227029/
