Block your Caller ID

Block caller ID setting in order to turn off caller ID for outgoing calls cannot be activated on an IPhone 15. Even contacted Verizon support and they were unable to fix the problem. They were completely shocked to find the setting not on My Verizon and the instructions for activating it to be outdated. The feature is no longer on the Manage Block settings on the My Verizon account, as no option is available there at all. This is a critical feature for remote work, and is very easy to activate on other carriers (many of which have it enabled by default without need to contact the carrier) with the same device so Verizon making this extremely difficult to access, to the point where there own tech support team doesn’t know what to do, is really annoying.

Hello Remote_worker1, we're sorry you're having issues with the block caller ID feature. We recommend using the old traditional method. Please give these steps a try:

Enter *67.
Enter the number you wish to call (including area code).
Tap Call. The words "Private," "Anonymous," or some other indicator will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.

This isn’t really a solution for people who have to do this all day long. This is a standard feature which exists on all major carriers, and used to exist on Verizon, so I would like a specific solution to activate the feature that I mentioned or else I’m going to have to consider switching carriers to one which actually allows me to do it (which is every other carrier except Verizon). This is part of standard regulations for remote workers at every major company in the U.S., so it’s pretty hard to believe Verizon doesn’t allow it anymore for no reason.

Remote_worker1, we can check your account to see if we can remove the Caller ID feature completely. If the option is there, it will block your caller ID when you contact someone going forward. Did you want to check for this?

I completely agree and for the same reasons. I need to be able to turn mine off. Dialing *67 then an entire number is not an option. Furthermore for my business I have not lived in the state from which my area code shows in 8 years! I am making local calls and do NOT want to appear out of state for my local business which I own. Help
