default device to 5G

I have a 77wcjt rfouter with SON. Is there a way I can set a device (my desktop) to always connect to the 5G? Most of the time the router connects to the 2G. I know I could shut off the SON, but other than the desktop I don't care about the 2G/5G switching on other devices.

waltmguire, happy to help look at this with you. I do need a bit more detail on what you're using, as we do not have a 2G network anymore. So if you could clarify on what you're trying to do and with what equipment, it'd help me out a lot and let me give you the best advice possible
