Anytime I try speech to text now I get the message at the top of the screen "Please try again". Anyone else with that issue? Is there a fix?
Thanks,
DayV
UPDATE: As of tonight at 1am, an update to the voice assistant was available when I was testing the speech to text function. After going through the update, voice texting is working again!! Hopefully everyone with this issue gets the new update.
Hello, DayV4505. Thanks so much for this info as we know how important it is to have voice to text option on your phone. Let's ensure the feature is activated on the device. Go to:
Settings, Systems, Languages & input, virtual keyboard, Gboard, Voice typing, Use voice typing.
Let us know if this feature is activated.

Natasha,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, my phone does not appear to have the type of menu options you mentioned. The model number is 4056S if that helps. I lost you at "Systems" Lol.
We appreciate the additional details. From the information from the user manual, here is how to use the voice assistant: When composing the body of a text message, move the cursor into the space provided for a message. Press and hold the Center Soft Key again, wait for the “Voice Assistant Listening…” screen and speak one sentence at a time. At any time you may edit your text message.

Freddy,,
Thanks for your reply and that is correct. Unfortunately, it just says "Please try again" at the top when you do that. It's like it can't hear me. The mic works fine for calls though. I've tried rebooting and even removing the battery. Nothing has worked thus far.
