Noticed there's now esim info listed under sim when viewing about phone info plus esim apps on my phone when I never requested an esim nor did I download any apps. Also multi control app has changed from factory settings and will no longer allow me to un-install.
Had this phone for about a year maybe. My old phone got hacked. They got my Google and email last time. When set up my verizon account on this phone, they sent a verification with my new phone number to my old compromised email. Wasn't sure my old email was fully compromised but nervous enough I walked away from it like my Google account.
Now, with these strange things happening, I'm afraid verizon handed the hackers my new number and maybe they've requested an esim to gain full access to this phone.
I tried earlier today to open a chat with verizon but it kept getting shut down. I also had biometric log in set up with my verizon account. But when I tried, something went wrong so I had to sign in which I'm afraid if my phone is compromised, then that info is now known to them.
I'm not sure what options I have left or what I can do. Beginning to think my only option will be to pay off my phone and end my service with verizon, do a factory reset, get prepaid service with new sim card and number. This would not be ideal but I'm at my wits end. Any ideas that would save me from having to go through all that would be helpful.
