gray and yellow triangle with ! mark in it next to a person's text messages? how to fix that?

i am trying to text my wife. nothing goes through but her texts to me are going through.

then i tried to forward text to see if that works and when it is time to pick a recipent, then is when i see gray triangle next to her name and then i notice yellow triangles next to two other recipents.

Hopefully the problem has fixed itself by now, but if it hasn't, have you tried restarting your phone and resetting the network settings? Usually if a phone is left in limbo due to a tower handoff not working correctly, it won't send or receive calls or texts, so that's strange that you can receive texts but not send them.
