Automatic payments

I have always used my cash card to pay my. Verizon bill. Auto Pay saves me $40 a month. My card got a new expiration date so I updated it on my Verizon account. I saved it and I got a message that I no longer qualify for my Auto payment discounts.

The only way to pay by card was to do it with a Verizon card or give them my checking account information so they can take it directly from there.
Now when they get hacked, and they will, the hackers will have direct access to my account.

I know how important the automatic payment discount is to our customers, JWR-. I know I wouldn't want to miss out on this discount myself. Updating an existing debit card would not remove your eligibility for the discount if you were already enrolled. That change mainly affects new enrollments. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you, and since I'll need account access, please be on the lookout for a private message from me.
