Unable to pay using my bank info

I have been trying to make my payment and it won't let me use my bank account. I have tried everything I can think of. This is a bank account I've used to pay my bill for years but this month I can't use it. I've been trying to contact customer service for a couple days and I can't get through. My bill is due on Monday and I really don't want it to be late. Please, anyone help me.

Can't speak for what's going on with the online payment thing...it's either some glitch with Verizon or maybe your bank is blocking the payment for some reason. But you can pay your bill in person at a corporate Verizon store.

I have been having the same issue for a couple of months now, and I have now lost the $30 discount I was getting for using autopay!!! I also lost another discount for some reason. My bill has gone from about $180 a month to now $300 a month over the last few months. It let's me use the debit card for the account for payment, but that is ineligible for autopay. Not happy about any of it. Someone please fix this issue for all of us!

I know how important these discounts are to our customers, as they are important to me as well, araff_rn. I know that a debit card no longer qualifies for the autopay discount, and it has to be direct debit from your bank, or the Verizon Visa card. However, if you previously had the autopay discount with your debit card, unless the automatic payments were cancelled, or updated to a different payment method for a period, then you would retain that discount.

It does sound like we will have to take a look into this matter on your account, so please be on the lookout for a private message from us.

I've had this exact problem, for both when I use it directly with my bank account or with my debit card. No one has helped me and they just keep sending me in circles. I've had breakdowns about this now because I don't know what I can do when I'm literally trying to give them my money!

I just recently ran into this problem myself. Autopay was somehow canceled so I now don’t have the option to use my bank account anymore. So I’m no longer going to be getting the discount for autopay, as it doesn’t count towards cards. So now what Verizon? Auto pay is handy for me as it just gets automatically taken out. This is such a pain. One of the many little problems of Verizon.

The exact same thing happened to me. I lost my discount, and tried re-adding my bank account back, and it won’t let me. Says “cannot access your bank at this time, try again later” very frustrating cause now it’s even more per month, and I can’t even access my bank now? When I had it on there before? Ugh

It tells me I am "ineligible to use a bank account for auto pay" That was the only way that I paid for my Verizon bill, was through my bank account. But now I can't add it. I am not very sure why my autopay was cancelled. I do know that there was a problem with my previous bill, and that it wasn't able to be paid. But I paid it as soon as I got the notification, which was on the 1st of the this month. Even if i don't use autopay, I'm not even able to add my bank account period as a payment method anymore. I don't want to loose my service, as Verizon is the only thing I get where I live, and I would also like to continue using AutoPay, and my bank account. This is pretty frustrating.

This is my exact situation. I feel you man, hopefully they fix it, or it fixes itself. Very frustrating.

I appreicate you sharing what happpend there. If adding your checking account is running into an error, I recommend doing a cleaning of the cache and cookies on your browser. Once cleared, do a fresh sign-in with My Verizon. Then try to add the checking account option for Auto-Pay. Clearing the cache/cookies tends to resolve most issues when using the site, so please give that a try, then make the Auto-Pay changes.

I have had this exact same problem as well! Something must be fixed from verizon's side. A few weeks ago i got a notification saying i have an unpaid bill but i knew i had autopay on so i just ignored it. And now when i try to re-add auto pay it's not letting me add my bank account.

If you're using a credit or debit card for your autopay, did you check to make sure the card isn't expired? Or if you recently got a new card and it has an updated expiration date, it doesn't automatically update in My Verizon. It sounds like you had an autopay get declined for some reason and if that happens, the system shuts off your autopay and you can't sign back up for it for another 6 months. You'll have to use the one-time bill pay site to pay your bill until you can get back on autopay.

Enter the details for the new payment method

Review the Terms and Conditions
Select Accept and Enroll

Same here! This also happened last year to me from Verizon and they ended up charging me a bunch of extra fees, leading up to a $700+ bill … and it is happening again, right now. So frustrating.

Same problem. They just keep sending me the link to setup autopay that doesn't work. Useless.

My mom continues to have this issue with her account. It says her bank account cannot be found. It is a Redstone federal credit union account which is what I use with no issues

My mom’s account also says her bank account is not eligible and can’t be found. She has no missed payments. Please help.

So I can't get the discount for autopay, as it doesn’t count towards cards. They are telling me to get another checking account number REALLY I've had my same checking account for over 40 years! So now what Verizon? This is such a pain. One of the many little problems of Verizon. It almost as if they purposely mark your account restricted for ONLY MISSING ONE payment after being with Verizon for 30 years. It's an easy way for them to make you pay extra fees and eliminating you for the discount. WAY TO GO VERIZON - oh, and send me over to your OFF SHORE customer services department- they are always ready to help resolve your problem - NOT. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - either train them better or move the department ONSHORE to the United States of America

Same thing. I switched it to my husbands bank account after mine was previously connected. We now can’t get the $20 discount because it can’t find the bank.

This is happening to me. I switched banks and now it is saying my current bank is not found. However this is the correct information and no other creditor is having issues. Did you get your issue resolved? I really need to get my autopay back on.

The same thing is happening to me, I changed my bank account information and it is entered correctly. The payment was returned and I was charged a 30$ fee, no other company or account is having issues besides verizon! I can't get my autopay discount, been a loyal customer for 30 years what a joke. someone help me with this right away
