Hello, I have signed up with Verizon for the very first time in my 35 years. I had previously used AT&T or Comcast for my internet needs. The prices began to increase with those companies, so I decided I would go with the cheaper 5g options. I was debating whether I should get T-mobile for 50 bucks or verizon for 70 with the auto pay option. I got T-mobile, but then a couple of months later Verizon had advertised a promotion for a free Xbox Series X with signup. I canceled T-mobile and signed up with Verizon. Right off the bat, the billing cycle with Verizon is villainous and tyrannical. I never received my first month's bill, Verizon "conveniently" added my first 2 months together totaling $144. They tried to auto-take it out and I didn't have it in my checking account, I transferred from savings and paid my bill. The next month's bill came with a gnarly Return Payment Fee of $25. Really? Come on. On top of that, unbeknownst to me, I lost my auto pay status and my following bill was late! Which incurred another barbaric fee. Every bill after has been in the hundreds and I can't figure out how I keep incurring Return Payment Fees if Auto Pay is off? I really just want to cancel, but the contract stipulates that if I sever allegiance before 6 months I will have to pay the full cost of the Xbox Series X. Kinda shady business practice, kinda understandable in a capitalistic regime, completely narcissistic on behalf of this enterprise. Good day, fair people. You will get what you deserve, not-so fair people. P.S. Tmobile is faster and more reliable by far.
