Network Extender

When I moved in to my home in 2019, Verizon offered me a FREE Network Extender. 5 years later this one is freezing out and when I called them for a replacement, they said NOT for free. I said, well send me a label to send this one back. They were like “no thanks, you keep it.” They want me to buy one even though I have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years and I am military. I guess my cable company will be receiving a call to switch to them afterall

Sorry about you having to buy a new extender, but from what I can tell elsewhere, nobody gives them away anymore. The Blue Logo Place has you buy one of theirs, and there's a widget elsewhere on their website where you have to enter a ZIP code to even see if said extender will work. Pink Logo Place is even worse, because they quit offering network extenders altogether!

Switching carriers may help with your cellular service, but I'd ask around first to see who works better. Using the cable company's mobile service may or may not help you, because they are piggybacking off of one or more of the "Big 3" carriers and don't have a wireless network themselves. So if they're using Verizon, not going to help with your weak signal problem and will likely be even worse, because 3rd party carrier customers are deprioritized to the very bottom of the network priority ladder. Google is your friend here with looking up "who does [company] use".

The Network Extenders we offer are based on the account as they are not always free. If the option for a loaner isn't available at this time, we can check back at a different time, or you do have the option to purchase one. I know this isn't the news you wanted to receive from us, but it is correct. We can absolutely check the account again to see if any available offers are there. With any Network Extender, you do need to have home Internet for it to work. Please let us know.
