Hi, any know when there will be a fix for Amex debit cards being treated as credit cards? I want to use my Amex debit card to get the autopay discount but I’m not able to because amex debit cards get treated as a credit cards
Argfamm, to get an automatic payment discount, you need to use a bank account or the Verizon Visa card. Here's a link with more information on our automatic payments. The info you're looking for is under "Can I get a discount on my mobile plan for using Auto Pay?" https://www.verizon.com/support/auto-pay-faqs/

Happy Saturday! Being on top of your account is crucial, especially if you are managing your Auto Pay. Verizon is here to help.
Please be aware that beginning 2/14/24 you must enroll in Auto Pay and paper-free billing using your bank account or Verizon Visa Card to qualify for the discount.
Hope this helped.

So debit cards aren’t eligible for the auto pay discount?
I also have this question the Amex bank account. The Amex debit card is tied to an Amex checking account, which is definitely a bank account and not a credit card account. It provides checking and autopay options and routing numbers just like any other bank checking account. It is a checking account. So if you use the routing number and account number of the Amex checking account rather than the debit card, will this be sufficient for autopay discount?
