How can I forward my text messages to my gmail account?

Happy Monday! To forward a text message to an email on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20, you can use the device's built-in forwarding option:

Open the Messages app
Open the conversation with the message you want to forward
Press and hold the message until a pop-up menu appears
Tap Forward
Select your contacts, then tap Compose or Done
Tap Send

To forward a text message on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 using the Samsung Messages app, you can do the following:

Open the Messages app
Go to the conversation with the message you want to forward
Press and hold down on the message text until a pop-up menu appears
Select Forward
Choose contacts to forward the message to, or enter an unsaved phone number
Tap Done after adding all recipients
Edit the message if needed
Tap Send

What text messaging service are you using? Not sure there's an easy way to do what you want.

Jav6, just the default on my Samsung Glaxay Note 20. I thought this would be easy, but I'm finding not. Appears Google has blocked previous apps that offered it.

Hello, zack5011. Help is here. Depending on your phone's make/model, you may have different steps but please see below for both iPhone and Android devices.

iPhone

Open the Messages app
Open the conversation with the text message to forward
Press and hold the message until options appear
Tap the circle next to the message to forward
Click More
Click the forward button
Enter the email address to send the message to
Click the arrow when it turns green

Android

Open the Messages app
Open the conversation with the text message to forward
Press and hold the message until options appear
Tap Forward
Choose a contact
Tap the Send button

Thank youfor the reply. I have an android - Samnsug Galaxy Note 20 with verizon.

When I click on more the only option I have is to pin the message.

I do not want to have to go into the text messages and send them to my email. My goal is to have my text messages sent directly to my email.
