Adding a line and switching phones

   So I would like to add a line to my family plan for my 11 year old son. I've also been thinking about getting a new phone for myself. When I add the new line, I would like to give him my LG Cosmos and get an ENV3 for myself. Can I do this and still keep my old number? The cosmos would be perfect for him and I would be upgrading for free. Everyone wins. Is this do-able?

Yes, you can do this. You will add the line, and if you do this in a store, and take your phone with you and they can swap your phone to the new line and put the new phone on your line.

If you purchase online, you'll need to proceed as if the new phone is for the new line; when the phone arrives, call customer service and they can activate the phones on the lines you want.
