Photos backed up to cloud without permission

I use Verizon Cloud to backup videos only as I have another cloud storage for photos. I have never switched on the photo backup, and it still is not on, yet my photos suddenly appeared in my Verizon Cloud. As there are so many thousands it will take forever to delete them alll.
Extremely disturbing to upload data without my permission.
There is no setting I can change because it’s set not to upload photos. I don’t know how to rectify this.

Verizon Cloud requires specific permissions (storage, camera, contacts) to perform automatic backups. While users have reported photos uploading without explicit consent due to default auto-sync settings, it does not typically function without initial permissions or app activation. To stop this, disable auto-upload in settings or remove app permissions.

How to Disable/Control Backup:
Stop Automatic Backup (iPhone): Go to the Verizon Cloud app settings > Backup, and toggle off specific items like Photos, Videos, or Contacts.Disable Background Sync: In the same settings menu, turn off "Background photo and video upload".Remove Permissions: Go to your phone's main Settings > Apps > Verizon Cloud > Permissions and deny access to Storage/Photos.Remove "Cloud Block": If you see "Cloud Block Enabled," you must contact your company’s administrator to restore access, as this is a corporate restriction
