Verizon text logs automatically deleted?

Hello,

Why does Verizon delete some message logs? I've noticed specific ones getting deleted when it was there earlier the same day. I've downloaded and screenshot these and noticed strange deletion of specific numbers? Asking customer service in dismissed saying it's due to cycle reset. Is this true and why would there be text logs from other numbers the same day?
