Getting push notification from Verizon app that someone is trying to access my account via web

Hi, I just need some help. Every night between 10-12 am I get a notification from the My Verizon app that someone is trying to access my verizon account via the website. I don't know how to stop it and fear that my account maybe compromised. I obviously let the 2fa time out or I out right deny the access to my account, but it happens every night between these times! What can I do. I heard that verizon no longer uses authenticator apps to log in and the only 2FA available is the My Verizon app. I don't know what do due at this point! Please advise!

Hi, I actually did all that you mentioned. I changed my password, PIN account ID, secret question changed, locked import of number, etc! Every night someone STILL tries to access my account from web and the My Verizon app notifies me through 2FA to approve the log in. I dont know what to do at this point! Any further suggestions of solutions?

Oh, wow! Thank you for doing all those steps. The safety and security of your account is of utmost importance to us. Although, we would not be able to see who may be attempting to access it. Was there someone on your account previously? Are you the only line on the account?

There are 2 other lines on the account and a home internet account. I'm the primary owner of account who can assign account managers. Im the only one getting notifications about someone trying to gain access through the website and the others have never been online.

I actually changed my password and everything but the notifications continue. I don't know what else to do at this point since u guys are not able to view whos trying to access my account

Thank you for the information. That was the right thing to do to protect your account, we recommend you to update your password occasionally. Regarding notifications, these are a form to alert you of what is happening and will continue if there is an authorized user or someone else trying to login to the account. Please keep us posted.

This happened to me today. At 4:52pm PST I received a push notification from Verizon wireless that “someone was trying to access your account”. I jumped in the chat via “My Verizon App” they couldn’t help. I then called in and it was explained to me that a sales rep tried to access my account. I had to call back and speak to someone in Freud department. They stated someone called in and fail all attempts to access my account. The Freud department placed a Freud hold on my account. This way no one can access my account and it can only be accessed via their department. I would advise doing this. They were very helpful and I would recommend contacting them as Customer Service isn’t/wasn’t very helpful. I’d also like to note that I only have 1 phone line and did have internet but only for 1 month.
