LifeLine Long Distance Service access number?

A senior family member lost their access phone number for their long distance service.

It's the phone number they call to connect to their "Teliphone Lifeline Long Distance" account. They need this number to connect to the Teliphone system. Once connected they dial the long distance number.

This is the $0.99/call +taxes/fees service. I tried searching for this number at the persons house, and online with no luck. I couldn't even find a website for the service. The only phone number I could find for Teliphone Lifeline was actually for the emergency call buttons.

Does Verizon know this phone number? Or the right number to contact Teliphone Lifeline Long Distance to find out?

No, that's not what this person has. Well not what I'm trying to find out. They have lifeline service through Verizon and pay anywhere from $[phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] for local phone service. That's not the problem.

Their long distance is $0.99/call +taxes a month which is provided by a 3rd party provider: Teliphone

Unfortunately this person misplaced the telephone access number to use there service.

IE: This person dials the Local telephone access number, Teliphone answers to tell them to dial the chosen long distance number. Then they talk to their intended party. The person is charged $0.99 call +taxes

Without the service Verizon charges whatever the rate is, etc.

How do I find out this information and I can't even locate Teliphone the company?

If you Google "Teliphone" the blurb about the company no longer being in operation appears somewhere within the first 5 hits.

I'm surprised that your family member is being charged for long distance. The last time I had that happen was back in the 90s with a copper wire landline from Blue Logo Place. When I switched to a VoIP landline, all calls within the US were free.

Well I couldn't find the specific "blurb about the company no longer being in operation"

So I will tell the family member to go back to Verizon and get it fixed.

This family member has basic "landline" service under lifeline plan or something to that effect. IE:

All local calls go through Verizon. While long distance was handled by Teliphone when accessed for $0.99/call +taxes. If they just called long distance without accessing Teliphone, Verizon charged the current rate.
