I have had 5G Home Internet since November 2023. At first it was great and speeds anywhere from 2[phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] consistently. After about 7 months I dropped to the lower plan because I didn’t need that much speed for the streaming I do. It was fine for about a month and then I started intermittently having poor connections. I went through everything with support and moved router, reset, etc. it was better for about a week and then was consistently slow in the evening. It was during the 2024 Olympics and it was so bad that I couldn’t even stream it. If I used data on my phone it was slow but not as bad as the home internet. I was getting 1-2 mbps all night. Thinking that I had good connection when I was on the higher tier plan I thought I would go back to that. After going to the higher plan it was good for maybe a night or 2 and then slow again. Went through everything with support again with the same results. The Olympics ended and it was back to where I was able to stream at night again but was only getting [phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] mbps through the evening. Through all these times if I checked the speed during the day I was getting 2[phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]. Now it is into September 2024 and again it is unusable slow in the evening. After reading the forums I see that I’m not the only one with the problem and Verizon has overloaded their network without proper support. Has anyone been able to find a way to flood Verizon with complaints whenever the connection is bad without having to go through all the automated responses to speak with a live person only for them to try and have me walk through the troubleshooting? I know that it’s nothing with my service, it is a problem with the Verizon network.
