Will any non-wireless routers work with Fios

I have Fios internet in my home with tv and phone. I have the Fios ONT. But I don't want wireless. Is there any router that can be plugged into the ONT allowing for other household ethernet connections. Like a hub. I know you cannot plug a hub directly into the ONT.

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

A Verizon router is generally required for TV services.

One could turn off the wireless radios inside a Verizon router, but that does not result in a significant reduction in energy consumption given the wireless transmit power is about a few milliwatts.

I don't care about energy consumption. My wife just doesn't want WIFI in the home. So I want to take the ethernet out of the ONT and go into a non-wireless router / ethernet hub.

If you don't have Verizon set-top-boxes, you can use any router you want. The only negative is Verizon won't provide any support. As long as you're willing to support it yourself, go find a wired only router that meets your budget and needs.

Note that wired only routers tend to be targeted at non-consumer applications, so they may require a bit more networking knowledge to setup. I recently setup a TP-Link ER605 on my fios connection, and it works fine. It's UI is not designed for a typical consumer, but it's not hard to configure if you have basic networking knowledge.

There are other wired only routers out there; I picked the ER605 as it's combination of cost and features met my needs. Don't take this as an endorsement, just an example of what you can find. You can find helpful information and reviews on tech store sites like microcenter.com.

Ah, just saw you said you have TV. I'm assuming you have Verizon set-top-boxes. In that case, it's much harder to use a non-Verizon router. @Cang_Household
's recommendation to turn off the WiFi in the Verizon router is your best option. If you don't know how to do that, post the model number of your Verizon router and someone should give you the details.
