I have Verizon Fios fiber at my house and have been using the Verizon router for about 5 years now. I have quite a few devices on my network with static IP addresses. I wanted to obtain some more coverage in my backyard and recently purchased a Google Mesh setup with a few access points.
Everything is set up and both networks work fine. The only issue I have is that Verizon operates on one subnet (192.168.2.xxx) and the Google mesh operates on another (192.168.86.xxx) and I can't get devices connected to the two separate networks to talk to each other (chromecast, network printer).
I really don't want to disable the Verizon network and then have to set up everything on the Google one. I'm also not a network guru, and don't quite understand routing and the other technical pieces. Does anyone have some basic instructions on what I rules need to set up in my Verizon router so that traffic from the two separate subnets can communicate with each other?
Thanks in advance
