On April 21, 2024 I called Verizon to inquiry about prices, perks and options of adding a new line. I was told about the promotion available: open a new line on a new account, and activate the line on the Unlimited Ultimate or Unlimited Plus plans receive a free 65 inch Amazon Fire TV. Since i signed up for a two year plan the phone payment would be credited on my account for the iphone 14.
I was told to wait 60 days to actually redeem the offer on Amazon.com using the information Verizon will deliver by e-mail.
I call in July 18 and 24 and I have the issue escalated as the promotion was not honored. I was contacted by a rep that I would be able to receive the TV in Sept.
I call back 9/16/24 and was told the following week I should receive an email to claim promo. I did not receive email the following week. Today 9/26/24 I call Verizon and I'm told I can not claim promo. I request to speak with a supervisor and he is unavailable, in a meeting. Supposedly he will call back before the end of day.
This is false advertisement. The customer service and the promotion department have been inconsistent with information provided. I later check the community board and see over 100s of comments with the same issue. As a long standing Verizon customer this is highly disappointing. I hope this matter is resolved and I'm able to receive the promotion offered when I added the new line in April.
