Hello...
I need to cancel the recent ACH payment. This was done in error and need change to a different payment method. Please help asap
If the current payment method is with a closed bank account, the ACH transaction will bounce anyway. If the current payment method otherwise went through without a hitch, I would leave it as is and update your payment method before the next bill gets processed. Otherwise, you run the risk of the system cancelling your autopay and not letting you sign back up for 6 months. This happens if an autopay was declined for some reason and there is not a way for a human to override the lockout.
If there is some other issue requiring an immediate update to payment methods, I'd contact your financial institution and have them reverse or cancel the payment before manually paying your bill without the autopay function. This may still end up locking you out of autopay for 6 months.
