I have a Verizon Visa that accumulates Reward $$ based on spending and repayment of the credit card balances. I have had the card for 3 years and use it regularly for all of my expenses. I have accumulated and redeemed rewards easily until this month.
At this point, with $1000+ in accumulated rewards, I cannot redeem for gift cards or travel and find only a limited number of redemption options available to me. I find these changes significant and notice should have been provided.
The My Verizon App does not provide help. Support services have been difficult to reach. When I am put through, the CSRs cannot help beyond telling me the program has changed and they are powerless to help me. I was not notified of the changes planned or provided with the opportunity to redeem the rewards prior to the program changes. The Verizon people have forwarded me to Synchrony, the credit card company behind the Verizon Visa for help redeeming Verizon $$. That is untrue and Synchrony does not help. I have been passed around and the issue remains unresolved. How can I talk with someone who cares enough to help?
I was passed around and have spent several hours in phone loops without a resolution.
