Call filter without app

My mom and dad have a Verizon home phone box and a clam shell cell phone. They are always bombarded with spam calls, so I'm trying to figure out how to filter out Spam calls and texts without downloading an app because neither one has the capability to get an app.

Tis the season for so many spam calls! We get how these are so annoying. Check out this resource on Robo calls. Landline phone don't have the same device settings that can be used like Android or iPhones. You do still have Call Filter that can be used. Unless there are some settings you can set up for the phone numbers through the MyVerizon account online associated with the numbers, I don't think you have any other options.

Landlines are a lot more likely to be bombarded by spam calls. See this thread for what's probably an expensive solution to fix the problem. Sounds like getting your own bot to fight the spam bots.
