I recently switched my service from Tello to Verizon and I’m a bit confused about the porting process. My new phone from Verizon took a while to arrive, but when it did, I turned it on and noticed that my number seems to have successfully transferred over to the new Verizon phone. I can make and receive calls just fine. However, I never entered the port-out PIN from Tello anywhere in the process, and my Tello account still appears to be active.
When I checked the port status on Verizon’s website, it says the port is complete. But my old carrier account hasn’t been deactivated automatically.
So, my questions are:
1 Do I need to do anything further to complete the transfer?
2 Is the porting really complete if my old carrier is still active?
3 Will my old carrier (Tello) automatically stop my plan now that the number is ported?
I appreciate any guidance on this!
Thanks in advance!
