I can’t believe this situation with Verizon. Every year, I trade in my iPhone and upgrade. This time for some reason, never got confirmation that they received my trade in and saw a $500 bill pop up on my account. Hm that’s curious since I definitely returned it. I check UPS - sure enough, delivered to the Verizon warehouse - proof of delivery and all. You’d think this would be an easy mistake Verizon made to sort out. Nope. I am now nearly 2 hours into customer service calls across two different times. They open tickets i never hear back, I call back and the tickets are mysteriously closed. Reading these forums I see many others have had similar problems. It seems my only next step is to file a case with my state attorney general - not sure what else to do as the late charges will start piling up and they’ll send me to collections but I cannot justify paying this when it was 100% Verizon’s mistake. I really can’t believe they could do this to a loyal customer over a decade and on Fios too. What a shame.
