I received a new G3100 router as part of a forced Fios TV upgrade. Router upgrade from a G1100 went flawlessly, as did the VMS and four TV installs. No extender. I created the same primary and guest network ssids using the same passwords. All of my apple devices (2 ipads, 2 iphones, and an apple watch) and two Amazon Echo devices automatically connected to the primary ssid with no problem. Two wired devices were fine after a reboot.
Then I discovered none of my 20+ other wifi devices could connect to the primary ssid, even after unplugging them for about a minute. All of these devices were originally configured on my old G1100 wifi which had the same sids/passwords. These devices include a 5 yo Epson printer that fails connection due to MAC filtering (which is not enabled on the G3100); a dozen Kasa (TP_Link) indoor & outdoor sockets 4-10 yo (not even during a factory reset/install); a 2yo LG soundbar; My 2021 Chevrolet; you get it.
On top of that, all connection attempts to my guest network fail. My iPhone14 fails with "Unable to join the network "[guest_network_name]". My guest network is enabled on the G3100 same ssid/pwd as on my G1100. I could connect my iphone to my G1100 guest network.
G3100 firmware v3.4.0.8 & hardware v1103. SON is enabled by default, WPA2 (same as the G1100), and wifi 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz 1 & 2 are enabled. I've made no custom settings on the G3100 (other than ssids/pwds & new admin pwd). It sits in the same place as my G1100. MAC Authentication is not enabled. I've reset to factory default to no avail. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to resolve these issues. Many thanks in advance!
