Hello all, I will start with I am beyond frustrated with Verizon at this point. I got an email saying 5g home internet was finally available in my area and decided that for the price I would try it as a back up for my current home internet which tends to go down randomly during work hours.
At the time of signing up in October of 2024 there was a promo of if signing up for 5g+ the higher tier of service you could get 1 year of the Disney bundle (Disney premium no ads and Hulu with ads) free for one year and a 200 Amazon gift card. I signed up for the service on October 24th. During the check out process I got a random pop up that said cart sweetener deal, which added a 200 VZW gift card to the deal with activation.
Went through with signing up got the home modem, activated eventually saw on my account there was a pending rebate for the 200 VZW card but never saw anything on the Amazon card. Gave it a few more few now late November still nothing so I called into customer support. Long story short I spent almost 4 hours with multiple reps and none of them seemed to know what I was talking to about. Finally on the last one they were able to find it I guess and repush it and have me go through the process of claiming the rebate pending the wait terms.
Finally it seems like progress had been made. Then yesterday Thanksgiving 11/28 I get an email from VZW saying there was an update to my rebate please log in to check and when I get all it says was invalid rebate entry, rebate already claimed on another line which is funny because the line the rebate was submitted under was the new home internet line.
At this point I do not know what else to do. I am beyond frustrated with VZW customer support, you get disconnected and have to start all over with someone new.
Also would like to mention with the Disney bundle I asked the rep how I can add Hulu premium to the Disney bundle and they said I had to cancel the Disney with Verizon then go to Hulu sign up for premium and then come back to Verizon and reactivate the Disney bundle on the line that was canceled and I would only pay the different for Hulu premium. I attempted them and ultimately when I came back to VZW to reactivate the bundle it was gone like it was never there. Again another huge let down from customer service.
