Received an empty box

My iphone was supposed to arrive on 12/18. I received the package & the phone was missing. The paperwork was there but no phone.

I called Verizon & the rep said I should receive a replacement phone within 4-5 days. Has this happened to anyone else? Was it a mistake made by Verizon or was it stolen in transit & the package resealed?

My UPS driver sent the empty box back to Verizon, didn't even deliver it to me. This was December 5, still haven't gotten any action on their part. The box was returned to the dock and supposed to be scanned in, the order cancelled and I could reorder. Waiting for the next steps.
