Gizmo to Apple Watch

Hello I am trading in my child’s Gizmo watch for an Apple Watch. I am in the process of activating the new Apple Watch now and would like to keep the phone number associated with the Gizmo watch. Is it possible to keep the Gizmo phone number for the Apple watch when I activate it?
