Long story and many hours of chats and phone calls to Verizon. Defective phone was returned to local store mid October2024. Phone was replaced, and defective phone mailed in the box provided with return label. Proof of delivery phone was received 11/1/24. 68 days later my account was swept for unreturned phone. Chat started, Verizon claims phone not returned 1st lie. I go find my proof of delivery from UPS. Chat again with Verizon, Verzion says phone was not in the box 2nd lie by Verizon. Chat again, my phone is found, but they ask me what kind of phone it is. They should know what kind of phone it is. Was told by Verizon my full refund will be credited back to account they took it from in 4 to 5 business days 3rd lie. Business day 4 no refund is in my account. Chat again, each chat I have to explain this over and over, I ask them to review the previous chats. This chat I was told refund will be back in my account on business day 5 , Verizon lie . I confirmed this several times and Verizon chat said yes on business day 5 at 12:01 am the money will be back in my account another lie by Verizon. Each chat I ask for a manager but was not given a manager nor a phone number to call. Chat assures me they can handle this for me another lie. I ask for copies of each chat, was denied due for what they said is privacy reasons. Day 5 no money returned so I chat again. This chat the story changes. Now I am not getting a refund to the account that was drafted. The amount they drafted is too large to be put back into my checking account. They will now offer me a verizon credit. I asked and finally received a phone number to the finance dept. Was told nothing was in the works for a refund as a ITTST or whatever she said was not created by the chat line. Also I am not getting my money back as it is too much to put back into my checking account. Verizon is offering me a Verizon credit. I do not want a Verizon credit I want my money they should NEVER have taken and back into my account they took it from.
