I want to connect my phone through another carrier but I can't do so because they said I have to unlock phone through Verizon. Error message: network locked

Phones we sell become eligible to be unlocked, and do so automatically, 60 days after purchase from us, or 60 days after activation with us when purchased from an authorized retailer.
Was this phone purchased from us directly, or where was it purchased?

You definitly meet the time requirement of 60 days then. To confirm, did you purchase the phone from Verizon directly?
