Galaxy S21 Ultra Problem with Update Installation

Hello, I keep trying to install the January 2025 Patch (System Update 46) and it cannot go to the point where I have to restart the phone to apply the new software. It keeps "downloading security update" and saying that it is interrupted without changing the Wi-Fi. It also gave me Error Code 412 and "Update Unsuccessful." Is there something wrong with the Verizon Wireless update servers? It is getting annoying. The device is Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

security update appeared on mine and my husbands s22 plus phones. However we keep getting notice update failed with error code 407.

Then it restarts download by itself and then gets about 19% and fails this has happened about 6 times today.

I'm having the same problem, but on a S23+ phone. Not only does the download fail at about 11-15%, the download is very slow. My internet download speed is 350+ Mbps, so that should be fast enough to get the download done.

Even Verizon S23 users are experiencing the same thing, I don't know what is happening. Also strange that this occurred a day before Galaxy Unpacked 2025, but I am sure there is something wrong with the software update servers. I hope someone can do their job and investigate the problem, I don't care if they pull the update and find a fix, it has been occurring since this morning.

I'm having the same problem here as well, mine failed at 10,19,26 and 33 percent with same 407 error?

Same issue here, but on Galaxy 23 Ultra. slow to download and then it fails with mainly error 500, but I have seen error 407.

Same issue on Galaxy S23 Ultra 512gb. Contacted Samsung support twice, and they were less than unhelpful. Said they were unaware of the issue and that I had to ship them my phone for repairs.

S24 ultra having issues downloading security update for January 22, 2025. Update reached 5% and failed giving error code 407. My proxy settings are "none", update still is failing...

Yes, same here.

Two s23u phones, both failing the update since last night, Tues., Jan 21st, 7pm.

Even on Reddit, Verizon official/unofficial page - folks are posting a lot of comments there about this issue.

NO ONE has an answer so far....

My S24 has been downloading a update for 3 hours now and is only at 13%, but verizon is not showing any updates. I have done every step besides a factory reset, and I am not going to do that unless they want to compensate me for their screw up.

S22 ultra here. My patch number is 42.0. Exactly the same problem as all the others reported. What a mess!

Having same issue as others in this forum. Tried doing new update and it fails with error code 407. Rebooted phone many times and still failed. Disconnected and reconnected to Wi-Fi failure continued. From what I've read it's a Verizon issue not all of the individuals in the forum.

Using Samsung ultra s24. Two phone numbers.

Main number is Sim card.

Second number is esim.

Same here with my s23 ultra and s24 ultra. I called Verizon and got the runaround. I called Samsung and got the same. My roommate has both phones with the exact same issue. Both Verizon and Samsung says that there are no other reports. Do NOT let them reset your phone.

January 2025, began with my phone having problems downloading/installing the new updates, downloading it takes almost like an hour or so, before it was right away, when the installation begin, it takes time too, then,,,, " UPDATE FAILED TO INSTALL" I've been trying all day today, 1/22/2025 from 9am til this moment im writing, 2:38pm,,,,helpppppppppppp!!!

Same here with the S22 Ultra. First time it failed and gave a 412 Error Code. Now it's been downloading for about 2 hours and only at 8% even though I have a 1000 MBPS Internet connection.

Security update has tried to run multiple times. Download is slow and fails both on WIFI and over Verizon network.

My S21+ also has failed the security update today, error 412. Never got past 5%. I am trying again but it is again very slow - only at 2% download after 45 mins

Same issue as everyone else, wont update newest software. super slow and stuck at 3% on both wifi and cellular network. Obviously Verizon issue. using S21 Ultra 5G
